Frederick general manager Dave Ziedelis was named the winner of the Calvin Falwell Executive of the Year Award in the Carolina League for 2011. "It's a great honor," said Ziedelis.
Manny Machado homered and drove in four runs in a team playoff-record 11-run third inning as Frederick cruised past Kinston, 11-3, to win its first Carolina League championship since 2007.
